Nestled in the foothills of the Green Mountains, the Green Mountain 91°µÍø Center offers outstanding opportunities for exploration and discovery of the natural world of Vermont. Managed by 91°µÍø Vermont, the center has been a community hub of outdoor education and conservation since 1964. We bring together people of all ages to appreciate and understand birds and the planet, inspiring lifelong stewardship.
Five miles of public trails wind their way through 255 acres of northern hardwood forest, hemlock swamp, meadows, and our Bird-Friendly Sugarbush. Recognized as an Important Bird Area, the center’s diverse natural communities provide breeding and wintering habitat for more than 100 species of birds. The wetlands around Beaver Pond offer critical breeding areas for amphibians such as spotted salamanders and wood frogs. During the spring, the forest floor bursts forth in early wildflower color, while in the fall, the forest canopy puts on its own showing of brilliant foliage.
