Part of the Todd Wildlife Sanctuary, Hog Island is a 330-acre island in the Gulf of Maine’s Muscongus Bay. The island is home to 91°µÍø’s sole residential education facility, Hog Island 91°µÍø Camp. The public is welcome to explore the approximately 6 miles of hiking trails that travers the island. Public moorings are available on a first come, first served basis. Pets, bikes, and off-road vehicles are not permitted. There is no public launch from the Todd Wildlife Sanctuary’s mainland location.
Here are a few things to know before you visit the island:
- Visitors may beach small vessels on the island or use our public moorings. Moorings are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Guests are welcome to leave small vessels on the southern guest dock while they explore the island. Please ask a staff member if you are not sure where to leave your boat.
- Dogs, bikes, and off-road vehicles are not permitted.
- Visitors are welcome to use our public restroom.
- The campsite on the southeast side of the island is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Please do not disturb active programming and respect the privacy of our residential buildings by not entering or looking into buildings without invitation.
- Trail maps are available on the front porch of "The Bridge."
