Renée Wilson joined the 91���� Florida team in May 2019. As Senior Communications Coordinator, she works with staff around the state to create and manage content for the 91���� Florida website and social media channels. She also assists in the production of printed and electronic publications.

Renée serves as the media liaison for 91����’s Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary. In addition to managing Corkscrew’s website and electronic newsletter, she creates content and engages with media outlets to raise awareness of the Sanctuary’s research, stewardship, and education efforts.

Originally from upstate New York and Vermont, Renée graduated from the University of South Florida with a degree in Mass Communications/Public Relations. She moved to Naples in 1991. She held PR positions for a construction company and an interior design firm before taking the position of Research Translator with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection at Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve. She worked in communications there for 19 years before joining the team at 91����.

As a Florida Master Naturalist Program graduate and instructor, Renée loves the southwest Florida environment and enjoys nature photography, birdwatching, boating, and snorkeling.
