Little Creek Summer Camp (LCSC) is about more than fun in the sun, camp games, and singing songs. LCSC provides current 3rd through 5th graders from the Ferguson-Florissant School District the opportunity to develop important life skills, explore a passion for the environment, and avoid summer learning loss by participating in experiential programs focused on STEM and literacy skills.
Little Creek Summer Camp is offered for three weeks at Little Creek Nature Area, a 97-acre outdoor oasis and learning lab, owned and operated by the Ferguson-Florissant School District.
Campers learn and develop outdoor skills such as archery, birding with binoculars, campfire cooking, fishing, canoeing, stream exploration, animal studies, and nature hikes. While activities such as nature journaling build literacy skills, games and teamwork activities help campers build valuable social skills and round out each week of fun outdoor experiences!
Current 3rd grade through 5th grade students living in the Ferguson Florissant School District boundaries. Students must be in 3rd-5th grade during this school year.
Little Creek Nature Area is located at 2295 Dunn Rd, Florissant, MO, 63033
Camp runs from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm daily
If you have never been to Little Creek before, you are welcome to stop by and visit before your student’s session. Little Creek Nature Area is open to the public Monday through Friday from 9:00 am-4:00 pm.
Bus transportation is provided for campers living in the Ferguson-Florissant School District. Campers will be picked up at up at their home elementary school.
A breakfast and hot lunch is provided by the Ferguson-Florissant School District. One daily snack is also provided by 91°µÍø. Campers may bring a bag lunch, if they prefer.

Campers can attend one week
Current 6th-8th grade students living within the Ferguson Florissant School District boundaries can apply to be a Counselor in Training (CIT). Preference is given to students who have attended Little Creek Summer Camp in the past.
As a counselor in training you will be a part of our Little Creek Summer Camp team. You will participate in activities at camp, co-lead camp games and songs, support the counselors of your assigned house, act as a role model to campers and take on additional responsibilities that promote leadership development.
CIT's can only volunteer for one week of camp:
We will choose 3 CIT volunteers each summer, and will reach out to you after you apply
Little Creek Summer Camp is made possible through a partnership between the Ferguson-Florissant School District, 91°µÍø Center at Riverlands, National Park Service, US Fish & Wildlife Center, Lewis and Clark Historic Site, Friends of the Rainforest, Missouri Department of Conservation, The Saint Louis Zoo and US Army Corps of Engineers.
